Why is Boudoir Photography So Popular?

Boudoir photography has been becoming more and more popular over the last few years and a lot of people never knew what boudoir was until recently. As a boudoir photographer I find it interesting when I have to explain to the older generations what exactly I do for a living, I find it very entertaining to see their reactions. In reality that main reason boudoir has become more popular is because women are coming together and we are loving having the ability to be each other’s hype women.

Now you might be saying to yourself that you could never do a boudoir session because it’s so intimate and the thought of that can be overwhelming but I’m here to tell you that it is one of the most empowering things that a woman or man can do for themselves. Boudoir is a journey of self love and loving yourself is something that is so often overlooked and we often don’t realize it until it’s too late. Thankfully there are boudoir photographers who love hyping up our community and I think that is another reason why it is so popular - community.

At the end of the day that biggest reason boudoir photography is getting so popular is that people are realizing that doing something like a boudoir session doesn’t have to be in a sexual nature if they don’t want it to be and it helps boost confidence levels when women see how their images come out. I know that as a photographer it is one of the most rewarding parts of my job, being able to empower and inspire women to love themselves from the inside out and to truly make them feel as unstoppable as they are.
